Dubai Airport will welcome 7.8 million passengers in 2023


After doubling the number of passengers last year, Dubai Airport will welcome 78 million passengers in 2023.

According to Arab News, 66 million passengers used Dubai Airport in 2022 with an increase of 127%.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said that Dubai is hosting major events this year, the Dubai Air Show and the United Nations Climate Change Conference, and is looking forward to welcoming 78 million passengers to Dubai Airport. It has been said.

In December last year, Dubai Airport was used by 7.1 million passengers. It was the first time since January 2020 that so many passengers came to this airport.

In 2022, the highest number of passengers were from India, which stood at 9.8 million. Saudi Arabia was in second place with 4.9 million passengers. 4.6 million passengers from UK, 3.7 million from Pakistan and 1.9 million from Russia used Dubai Airport.

Of these, 3 million passengers were destined for London, 2 million for Riyadh and 1.9 million for Mumbai.


More than 343,000 flights arrived in Dubai in 2022, while 96,701 flights arrived in Dubai in the last quarter. The average number of passengers per flight was 204.
